Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers
The Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers is a membership organization dedicated to strengthening and promoting organized philanthropy in Central Maryland.

The Council on Foundations
The Council on Foundations is "a nonprofit membership association of grantmaking foundations and corporations. The Council's mission is to promote responsible and effective philanthropy. Members of the Council include more than 1,300 independent, operating, community, public and company-sponsored foundations, corporate giving programs and foundations in other countries," including The Abell Foundation.

The Foundation Center
The Foundation Center is an independent nonprofit information clearinghouse. The Center's mission is "to foster public understanding of the foundation field by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information on foundations, corporate giving, and related subjects."

The People's Law Library
The People's Law Library is "an experiment in using the technology of the 'net to help people represent themselves in civil legal matters as pro se litigants." The purpose of the site is "to provide direct access to law for Maryland's citizens." The project was initially underwritten by a grant from The Abell Foundation.
